Attendance around the AAC

I'm not counting Louisville but am considering future conference mates:

East Carolina - 45k
Houston - 33k
Cincinnati - 28k
Temple - 25k (vs Army)
Memphis - 16k

No wonder we won that game...our guys felt right at home

Other "crowds" of our caliber:

Texas State drew less than 15k for Georgia State (who?)
La Tech drew 20k for UNT
NMSU drew 16k for Rice

You'll give out oranges slices and pats on the back to our team who coughed up a 28 point halftime lead to an awful Memphis offense, but simultaneously think it's cool to take shots at the fans who watch this [Deleted], because crowds are small but represent 25% of living alumni in Dallas... You sunshiners are strange dudes. We have small crowds because nobody in Dallas wants to see ius because we look awful more often than not.

They live in this bizarre world where crappy football teams are somehow owed good attendance and until the fans take pity on them and show up, June has an excuse.

We're caught between a rock and a hard place. Recruits want cheering crowds and cheering crowds want winning teams.

We didn't give up anything to the Memphis offense. It was special teams and defense that cashed in on the fumbles.

And the fans are fair game. Coming from a country where fans are fans and not needy brats who demand wins in return for their support. We need to build support in the community, because community is where the longevity comes. Fair weather fans are easy to find.

Methodist Churches have youth ministers who plan activities for their youth. How about getting some home game tickets to those youth ministers so that they can bus in a group for home games. They are always looking for fun things for their kids to do and what's more wholesome than a football game on a Saturday? Just a thought.

The 1982 and 1983 ponies called and would like to order up some of those easy-to-find fair weather fans

Collin County UMYF day, free t-shirt and ticket. Loads from Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Allen. Huge Methodist churches in these towns.

Perfect. Add a pass, punt and kick contest for the kids at half-time. Give away season tickets to the Girl Scout troop that sells the most cookies. Anything!

Most of the 83 team that was at the Rutgers game had left before the 4th quarter started.......

People blaming fans might as well think fans of movies should go see all movie regardless of how good they are... I mean seriously. If you suck, play awful on continuous basis, can only win against teams that should consider being or staying in the fcs then yeah no one wants to see that crap unless they are battered wife fans like us who put up with this crap. Like I said in the past, when I talk to my classmates and other alums, they said they don't want to go to a smu game cause they find it boring (gameday experience/wins against crap teams) and too difficult to watch when we play good teams. I think the article mentioned in the DC corroborates my inquiry with non-fans that's are alums.... Time to put mediocrity aside and wanting easy schedules for faux wins and actually take the quick TCU track to recognition. We can do it if we get out of our 7-5 mentality and go for actual upsets and go 10-2 or better. Unlike you Abu, I consider you a fan but just a fan that's fine with mediocrity. I, coming from Southlake, do not accept this. I see this like tying, and a tie is like kissing your sister. Lets play to win and stop playing not to lose.

The more we win the more we will be respected & the more our fan base will grow. All else is based on winning.
