After seeing our Halloween uniforms for Thursday's game against USF a few minutes ago (https://twitter.com/uhcougarfb/status/3 ... 2001608704 and https://twitter.com/uhcougarfb/status/3 ... 2135036928) and Tech's all grays against OU this past weekend, that had me wondering why SMU hasn't come out with an alternate uniform yet. Your school has plenty of money and can afford them.


Plus it does wonders towards recruiting.

SMU can only afford alternative jerseys per the SID. Paints and helmets not included.

Techs grey units just make everyone look 10x more sweaty IMO

Money is tight here. We don't have the resources to do this unless it is privately funded according to our SID.

I seem to be one of the only ones who wants old school looking units. I want the blue ones we wore for Rutgers pretty much. Although I do like our helmets the way they are. I also want the Lexus on the boulevard that is painted like our helmets.

I like them as well, to bad we could not afford the throwback paints with the stripes to go with them.

Black isn't cool anymore, every [deleted] body in college football is doing it. Go with the blue and ditch the effeminate red.

I think it still pretty cool. I think everyone in college is doing because it is cool.

Ole Miss' and Tennessee's Gray unis are awesome.

I love SMU traditional colors and love our Helmet which is one of the best most classic Helmets.
And I Love the Classic blues...
As much as I detest most of the new school Unis, I also recognize the fact that kids love the new Unis and it behooves SMU to embrace New fun Unis even if it's worn just a few times. I think a Matte white background on helmets would be cool! I hate chrome, but if the kids like it, then great!
The kids gravitate towards THAT and lots of Scoring...
We are figuring out the scoring part...
You want new fans, SMU, then this is the formula.
Please make it happen CofC.. PRETTY PLEASE! Then stronger fan support and recruiting might just follow.

I was glad to see us back in RED. Keep the blues in the closet.
