(No, they weren't sold out.)

Surprising about int, but I think ntcc gets it cause of size of school and tcu gets it because of conference. We are losing the war that's for sure, barely the stores around Dallas sell smu and if they do they come with a matching frog...

We understand that you hate the fact that JJ exists, but even you can't think that he has anything to do with what stores do and don't stock our gear.

Did you see how many people were at the game? Now take a guess at how many shop in McKinney?

Good point, 00. I wonder how many people make the commute down from Baja Oklahoma.

This was a problem long before JJ came to town. You'll be hard pressed to find SMU stuff anywhere beyond the university bookstore.
Merchandise sales require t-shirt fans and we haven't had those since the early 80's. We can't demand stores carry SMU gear no one wants.

Exactly, this has been a reoccurring issue before JJ however he is a small piece to the problem. One because he hasn't made smu football exciting to watch and he has put off fans from wanting to watch e.g. Daily campus articles and DMN articles...

I saw an SMU car sticker in a truck stop halfway from here to Wichita Falls and bought it A) because I needed one and B) to support that behavior.

That is a pretty ridiculous argument. The Daily Campus article was an affront to the fans that do show up, but to say that it had any sort of impact on our fans is just not true. If they are not our fans, then they are not reading about SMU and frankly don't care what the coach thinks about them.

Thanks for the heads up, Rick. We'll get our LRG rep to pay them a visit.
Please note that if you're ever out and see instances like this or get the false "I can't get an SMU license" schtick, please visit our Licensing page
http://www.smumustangs.com/ot/smu-licensing.html and enter the store name and location at the bottom of the page and we will follow up with the store.
Thanks to all.

Devils advocate here, why would anyone buy a shirt at Albertson's? Why don't we try a Dicks/Sports Authority/Rally House/Academy Test? I have even seen stuff at multiple Targets. Much greater opportunity to finds articles than 10 years ago.

We really need to get in the Sports Authority in Dallas off park lane I think it is. Sucks going in there a few time and its all big 12 and sec schools. It would be a great step if we got our products in Dicks sporting goods store.
Mustangxc I wasn't conveying the article was affecting our fan attendance but rather its the reflection of what the student body thinks of JJ and his admin. I also mention DMN since that's really the old two media areas that talk about us and have somewhat a read on what people think of us locally.

Supply and demand, folks. Not a difficult concept.
