Dave Richards' son commits to SMU

According to Dave Richards' Facebook page, his son Tony (listed on-line as 6-6 and 250), an offensive tackle at Highland Park, has committed to SMU.
David Richards
Well SMU offered Tony Richards a scholarship yesterday and he accepted. I'm one proud Papa. Go Mustangs.

Very nice!
It's interesting that these guys' kids are now coming of age and some are committing to SMU (Hollie is another one). I'm assuming ED doesn't have a son -- too bad he couldn't get RSJ to come here.

Wasn't his mom an athlete, too? Swimmer or basketball or something? We already know what a great (and big) athlete his dad was ... I'm thinking this guy could grown into an absolute monster. Maybe, just maybe, you could pair him with Jerry Saena and develop them into beasts.

Well, we now have plenty of size for OL (6'7" Reich, 6'6" Myers/Chewie/Briggs/Richards/Walling, 6'5" Weeks/Saena/Holloway (no comment).
Not that height is any kind of indicator, but it's to look the part anyway.
