Don't get me wrong-winning on the Road in Conference is great especially under trying conditions but the injury to Gilbert is a GUT-punch.
Great Defensive Shut-out
Great pass by Burchum in single coverage on 3rd and long
Great Win
And It sucks so bad
Never seen this kind of Disappointing Win before

I will take the win. Burcham gets a short week to prepare knowing that he is the starter. We will get to see how he performs then. I am sure they will lighten up the package a little and prepare him well for the game. Hopefully he can perform well.

Yes. But we don't know yet whether GG is down for the count. If he is, NB will have to step up more a notch if we have any hope.
It's great that the team (especially the D) rallied and held on.
On the other hand, we have got to rid ourselves of the ST coach and find one who knows what he's doing and who can recruit. This is madness.

I love well coached special teams. That has been more disappointing to me this year than our poor defensive play. You can make up for a lot of problems with good special teams, and as we have proven, cause a lot of problems with bad special teams.

we did cover the spread......
that said, th potential loss of GG is tough... NB does not seem to be in same league...

I never expected a well oiled win sadly. Yes, this was quite painful to watch and seeing Gilbert get hurt just made my stomach churn not because of this game but because the next two games we need to win to come out on an average season.

Those minus 4 yard runs were not real impressive.

That's because the OL is as soft as the special teams.

When we needed to run out the clock and get a first down on the ground P.,Line went 10 yards in 2 carries right up the middle with the same OL. They both have their plus and minus sides. We do not need to be giving KC the ball to grind out the clock. I agree with the statement that his screens were good but he sure is not a grind it out runner.

KC runs laterally way too much. The FG to start the game should have been a TD had he just taken the 1st down rather than trying to cut back inside.
