I appreciate his words, especially as he brought up the hypocrisy of the nfl.

[deleted] Dale Hansen. Killed SMU Football. If he lived in Tuscaloosa and did to Bama football what he did to us, they would have ran him off. Meanwhile in Longhorn-controlled Dallas, he kept his job and still works there. [deleted] Dale Hansen.

Dale Hansen is the wisest, most knowledgeable and articulate sportscaster in the state of Texas, if not the US, and probably the most handsome as well. But don't take my word for it, just ask him and he'd tell you the same thing !

Perhaps he could have brought up the hypocrisy of the NCAA over the last 25 years when it comes to selective enforcement of the rules, or perhaps which schools granted degrees to the individuals what he is citing (Miami, Florida, Oklahoma State, etc).

Big props to Mizzou and Sam... but not to Dale.

Kindly keep your homophobic thoughts to yourself. We are better than that.

Classy, EconPony.

I've never liked Hansen but he actually did something positive here. That's a very powerful 2 minute speech and it has gone viral.

Since we've turned a person's sexual preference into a political topic, avoiding what kind of person he/she really is; it will be interesting to see if we get sexual harassment suits out of this action in the future, ie. requiring a heterosexual person to shower, undress/dress with a homosexual person who finds the other alluring. This goes to both genders of sports teams. Also, what happens in the future if there are coed teams? Just say'n

Great point... Also, Dale Hansen has no idea how Michael Sam is going to react towards other males in the locker room in the future just as most of the NFL GM's don't know that the players they draft are going to have issues down the road (some players with sketchy pasts turn out great and others not so much).

I don't like Dale (SMU death penalty/arrogance) and I am sure he just looked at John Stewart's "Viral Video" and did a serious version of it himself to get press on a very hot issue currently.
