Marvis Brown III, an offensive lineman from Little Cypress-Mauriceville, was an often-dominant all-district performer as a junior, and was starting to collect college scholarship offers. But Brown visited with PonyFans.com to discuss why he had seen enough and accepted SMU's offer, becoming the first member of the Mustangs' 2015 class.

Great recruit, we need Marvis to continue to help rally more solid commits around him so we have a solid 2015 class.

Marvis made a great choice as he will find out when he visits the campus. He is my favorite recruit in this class so far. Rarely do we recruit a lineman with this size and athleticism. Runs a 5.1 forty and plays center for the basketball team? Fantastic commit. The coaches need to stay in contact with him all the way through the recruiting process, which has been tough for them to do in the past.

Look at his online highlights. He looks really mobile for a big guy.
Very promising looking player!
