It's only unfortunate if we let that snake oil salesman have the job. I don't mind him being interested as long as the feeling isn't mutual.

Yeah. Would hate to have someone who could take Arkansas to 3 SEC west titles.

Yeah, and he's also a great players' coach. He loves his players so much that he lets them skip class, lets disciplinary problems slide, and even loves them so much that he dedicated a season once to a player that was in jail for felony drug trafficking.

Not a guy I want anywhere near another one of the programs I pull for.

If we hire Houston Nutt we'll be in the "People heppin'" business in no time at all and we'll get the annual academic casualties, arrests, and other problems that he brings to every program he gets involved with.

I have to decide if I should listen to the "lets be clean as a whistle" folks or the "lets go back to cheating" folks. It is just too confusing.

That may have been true at Ole Miss but not at Arky. His bets finish was almost a decade into his tenure.

I disagree. He gets great players. His main problem, and this is a big one, is nepotism. Too many family members involved similar to June's cronies. But that can be controlled. It is just that his used car act gets old after 2 or 3 years. The man got players like McFadden, Hillis, Felix Jones, Matt Jones. Players are not the issue. And as far as players not going to class, that is not a head coach job. There should be assigned assistants to look after that.

Here is my thought. As I said elsewhere, I would love a Chad Morris type but you all know that one of 2 things happen. Either they fail as a head coach or they succeed and move on after 2 or 3 years. I know with Houston Nutt you would succeed within 2 or 3 years and either he would move on or we would lynch him. I just know he is a proven SHORT TERM commodity.

My preference is the Chad Morris model with additional Texas recruiting connections, but I would not be unhappy with Nutt at all.
