So the great ED blasts SMU. Says we should compete or drop the program. Tells his nephew not to even look at his own alma mater. Slams us left and right today on social media, ESPN, etc. So, tell me Eric, who has been the architect of our recent football woes? Who didn't get off his butt to recruit in Texas? Who gave us this awful team? The coach YOU recruited to come here. The blame lies with former coach Jones. ED: You are acting like a spoiled child. Be a man and support your university as we move forward.

[deleted] ED. He is a air hogging piece of [deleted]. As far as I am concerned him and Craig James have no more SMU ties.

June and Dickerson cut from the exact same cloth: excuse making, responsibility avoiding, misinformation spreading, foot stomping whiny children.

Either get on board the new bus ED, or get off and disappear. One man, especially this guy, is not going to affect the bright new future of the SMU football program.

Again, do we really know what June was telling him about the situation at SMU? It could possibly have been all very one sided info that would get him as riled up as Mexmustang has been.

All Eric had to do was actually watch a game to see the problems. But I guarantee he hasn't done that in a while.

Who cares what June was telling him. If he had a brain and any concern for SMU he could have easily kept quiet for a few days, read the other side of the story which has painted June in a very negative light, and then made a rational decision as to what he was going to say. Instead he comes off as an angry, misinformed whiner, and rightly so.

Hopefully he now realizes June's own actions were the primary reason for his dismissal, stops making excuses for him, and either changes his tune or just shuts up and goes away.

Eric didn't even want to come to SMU. He wanted to go to OU or USC but his grandma wanted him to stay close to home, and we paid the most $$$.

ED can pound sand for the rest of time.

I am also VERY tired of the ED/CJ whine that "we and the teams of the 80's are not welcome on campus." That is bull. Both were honored last year when they deigned to attend a home game. Both are honored in the Hall of Champions. I shook ED's hand and talked a little about the old days. No, we aren't going to lay out a red carpet for either of you. Other "greats" have attended SMU and many of those gave back to their university. Quit whining and support SMU or just simply get out of the way.

With CJ's arrogance and ED's whining, getting out of the way would be best.

Has ED proposed any well-thought, tangible solutions to the problem of the football program, other than just to say "recruit"? I'm not sure he has the intelligence to lay out a plan.

recruit would be a good start...any and all players, especially the assumed P5 recruits...like ED was back in the day...

He and Jones are friends, he has always been a vocal guy, and he has always, as far as I can tell, wanted the best for SMU. He will go down in history as the greatest player on the field in our history and should be honored for the great memories he gave to people like me. He can continue to play an important role in creating a positive image for SMU. He is upset and letting off some steam. Let it go.

I said Could have been one sided as you said. Also, tell me what the information is that is true? Bottom line is we don't know what JJ told ED. I just don't think we should jump down ED back until we get more info.

As we speak, HCLB is visiting a recruit that hoops programs go after. The sky is the limit with a great coaching staff. Leave no stone unturned, try out for the best, even the guys Baylor and Okie St. go for...you never know if a 4 star wants to stay home so his buddies and family can come see him start.
