Back in my day, when the 7-11 on Hillcrest opened up it was a Godsend to those of us without a car. I think that was the only place around within walking distance from campus at 9:00 at night to grab a snack. Of course there was always The Domino's Wild Wednesday deals. Loved those. Alot more selection available for the current students.

Kids these days are spoiled with all their sushi and such jimjams. Why back in my day, we hunted deer on the Dedman College lawn for food.

Streak and Egg on Hillcrest. I can not even began to recall how many times we went for after the bars closed. I can't remember the name of the lady who ran the place but she was ex military and did not put up with a lot of BS

I had a car, so I drove folks to Taco Bell on Mockingbird for the early food run, then Jack in the Box on Mockingbird for the bar closed food run. Those slimy tacos were iconic in their own right.

Finished many a bar night at the Mockingbird 7-11 with a large bag of cheetos, packaged cinnamon rolls, and a quart of chocolate milk.
