Reexaming a late "Recruiting Flip"

TCU lost a commitment from one of its top Recruits J.F. Thomas late in recruiting season to Texas Tech. I think just about every Dallas SOC recruit had a late flip-remember they had 2 late Wisconsin flips and an SMU commitment flip (Lamont Johnson). When you see this around December and January its often because they don't project as a full qualifier and one school is simply taking on another school's academic headache. Boy there must be some real problems academically at SOC. BTW I hate to say this but there are some heralded SMU recruits who double signed with Jucos too in the current class-we'll just have to see if they make it to the Hilltop in the Fall

I would imagine we'd know by July...don't most of the new recruits enroll in summer classes then and begin workouts?

TCU lost Thomas to Tech because Kingsbury hired the SOC head coach, Emmett Jones in late January.
