Gutless -- Typical SMU
Horribly pathetic decision not to appeal bball post-season ban.

couldn't agree more. Its like there is not a bit of strategic thinking going on in our university, and our leadership always feel so disconnected from their community. Even if a lost cause, sometimes you need to see someone go to the mat for you.

Wow. That is ridiculous. What a joke. I'm not even a true fan so I can only imagine how much you guys are hurting. I'm truly sorry. What a shame.
Hopefully they can reload and the recruiting restrictions get lifted. The way I see it, the team needs the support more than ever right now. The gym needs to be packed and send MK/Nic off right. They deserve it, they've made SMU basketball relevant and have hopefully set a foundation for future success. Recruiting is going to be impacted by seeing a gym that isn't filled, make Moody special and show recruits why they need to be at SMU.
Life goes on, no postseason this year, but get ranked in the top 15 and do your thing. Next year is another chapter to be written, lay the foundation.

I think it's safe to say he probably feels pretty bad about this...I don't think it's right keep piling on him. He screwed up and he knows it. Now his friends are paying for it.

THIS ^^^^^
We now have an opportunity to show (as fans) we appreciate and are deserving of having a Top 25 caliber basketball program

Agree in that he is not the one that asked anyone to take an online class for him.

Well maybe its time for him to prove something. I'm not all that worried about him right now. In fact he is the only one I am not worried about.
Re: Gutless -- Typical SMU
I guarantee: any other school with a Top 20 team coming back would appeal a post-season ban.
But not good ol' SMU!
They're too darned smart!
All angles -- COVERED, baby!!

In retrospect Keith wasn't worth it, but moving forward it is important to stand by Keith and show recruits, especially Dallas-area recruits, that SMU supports its student athletes. That's a reason I was pleased to see JM Mudiay keep his scholarship.
Re: Gutless -- Typical SMU
I've been an SMU athletics fan for 12 years. The incompetency of SMU athletic administration has resulted in too many kicks to my nuts.
It sure gets tiring to be constantly embarrassed. I am ashamed to wear SMU gear. I get associated with cheaters and idiots in our athletics department. Awesome.
I get tired saying SMU will be better, "Next year," or "Next coach," or "next conference realignment...."
I get tired of saying, "we got screwed."
Let's be honest, the common denominator to all the excuses and heartache is not the NCAA or the times.... the common denominator is SMU. The athletic department repeatedly looks like it's run by incompetent nincompoops, which reflects poorly on SMU alum.
I'm a recovering SMU fan, and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.
SMU should focus on being a better university because SMU has sucked at running an athletic department for longer than I've been alive.

Re: Gutless -- Typical SMU
Ticket office flooded with calls from people wanting to cancel their season tickets.
Back off Warchild seriously.
