For you fisherman out there in the general forum I am trying to figure out which is the best unit to upgrade to. Any input is appreciated.

Try the Lawrence Elite series. Be careful if you are shopping on the internet, some models are new, but old models, find exactly what you want, take down the long model number then start shopping.

But the Elite series are good models but they do not have side scan. I was looking at the models that have side scan.

Can't help you then, gave up bass fishing for trout and steelhead when I moved to London 30 years ago. Use the Elite portable to locate trout in large lakes in Idaho, and the Nav feature when in a drift boat in the Frank Church Wilderness area.

By follow the birds do you mean get one or do you mean you like your Lowrance better?

We do a lot of open water fishing for stripers sand bass - hybrids I'm assuming you're more of a black bass fisherman. Shoot sorry I used the B word. Largemouth bass.

Naa. Which lakes do you fish and are you any good cuz if you are I want to go with you. I have a brand new rig. Hurricane FunDeck setup for saltwater freshwater Yamaha Sho 115 all brand new. Bought a new Silverado to tow it like a dream

This is that cross over rig its like a salon high-end cruiser if you want it to be or you can just fish live well blah blah blah

Well well we emulate the same circumstances because I haven't had a boat for 20 years.

ray Roberts is awesome and I know that lake. .

Sounds good. By the way, I heard that 115 SHO was really quiet engine but that is has some good power for a 4 stroke engine.
