Any recommendations on game day parking in Denton? Have never been to that stadium. The interactive map on their website shows "UNT Club Member" parking locations but not clear on visitor lots. Thanks for your help.

Visitor lots are across highway and bridge, approximately 1.5 miles away. Not an exaggeration. Wear comfy shoes and bring water bottle.

Thanks. Will definitely take your advise on the shoes and the water.
Hopefully we won't give them a reason to shoot that damned cannon!! So ready for season to begin! Pony Up!

Others gave good advice. Bring water and a hat as there's not much shade. Last time we played there it was a noon game I think and it was as hot and miserable as I've been at a game in a long time. Hopefully it's more bearable for 6pm start.

I have never rooted against SMU until that day. I was rooting for UNT to score as many points as possible in the 2nd half of that game. I wanted to be sure that JJ would be fired. To my surprise, it only took a few hours for JJ to depart on his own after that one...It might go down is one of our best losses in the last 20 years.

Now we can return the favor and put 40+ on them...

I would love nothing more than putting 56 points on em...a 56-10 game would be bliss

The best parking by the stadium is reserved for season ticket holders so your best bet is to park over at the old stadium Fouts Field and use the pedestrian crosswalk over 35E. I think it is like $10-20. It is not a bad walk at all and once you cross the bridge, you will go right through the tailgating areas which have shade from the trees. Here are instructions on how to get there:

Heat won't be as big of an issue with the 6pm start time and June is gone so I am hoping that you guys will bring more than 50-100 for this game like you did last time :D .

Thanks meangreen. Good luck to you guys this season. Hoping our fans show up as well. Will be a much different game vs 2 years ago. Maybe your fans should fly a banner over the city again this year. :D

I was actually upset when we scored that meaningless last-second touchdown. I wanted June to own, absolutely own, back-to-back blowout shutouts. He earned it.

Not sure if most of you guys realize just how bad traffic can be up I-35 to Denton with the massive construction going on. It's even bad on many weekends. Leave early so not to miss kickoff.

Recently I left north Dallas at 3PM to attend a graduation in Denton that started at 4:30PM. Arrived at graduation 30 minutes late at 5PM. Two hours from north Dallas! Some suggest go up Tollway to end and cut over on 380, but 380 can be bad as well. I guess the key is to leave way early or get a hotel room the night before at the Ritz Carlton Denton! Beat the Green!

Be prepared for that trip to take at least two hours.
