His words and demeanor say "I'm through" but then he dropped that unnecessary comment he'll be hitting the recruitment trail on Monday. Why? For Baylor? That's cruel, Chad. For us? So you're staying?

Why was Proche suspended?

Call me crazy, but I think he truly loves his players and won't want to abandon them.

if you think he turned down a 2.5 million dollar raise because of his players you are very naive. Something about the offer didn't pan out - and he knows he can win a bunch next year and call the shots after next season.

Any idea why Proche was suspended in the 2nd half?

They said it was a violation of team rules and he would be played at the coaches convenience. I think that was why Xavier Castillo got the start and we only saw Proche sporadically

Chad Morris portion of press conference didn't end early, other than the fact that he was not in what you would call a great mood after that game, which is understandable. Bill Nichols (DMN) asked the question everyone wanted asked, about the Baylor speculation, and you see his answer — and he was pretty cool about it, all things considered. That he didn't want to discuss it was hardly a surprise.

Well... Considering that the entire team turned to glare at the fans as they began pouring out of the stands after the pick 6....

Proche probably had some choice words for HCCM regarding the Baylor mess. At least I'd like that think that's what happened.

Pretty interesting since he supposedly told the team he wasn't leaving and then continues trying to work a deal with rape-U. Lots of integrity there. guess coaches and the word integrity is an oxymoron- at least at SMU.

Pretty standard practice. Tom Herman said on the radio this morning that he kept the UH players up to date with the UT talk, and that he never lied to them. Then someone else came on and said the players never got an update about any of that stuff.

So you are saying HCCM kept the players updated with the Baylor talk? Or did he just say that he was not leaving to go to Baylor?
