Little Rock and Austin were just on the verge of Bowl site approval last year. Wonder how Frisco jumped into the mix?

Oh God, we're totally getting stuck in Frisco if we go bowling this year.

Frisco would suck worse than most, though.

I just thought Austin or Little Rock would be good for the move.

in 2017 game will be against Sun Belt representative-but wait we will have already played a strong Sun Belt schedule in 2017. Some day you guys will figure out the only way for SMU to get major respect against teams we care about is in the Non-Conference. The only good Bowl Game matchups left will be against 6-6 P5 schools

What kind of reward is playing a Sun Belt team in Frisco?
Yes, our AAC bowl tie-ins are low level leagues, but at least you get a trip to Florida or the Bahamas.

This makes perfect sense. It's an AAC bowl, why not have it in an AAC market (Dallas-Fort Worth) instead of an ACC market (Miami)?

On the bright side, it's a very appropriately sized venue for our fanbase.
