Going smaller
Kevin Thomas is no longer on the roster. He wasn't a major contributor, but I guess with Sutton's departure, he could have gotten more chances. Only WRs 6'2" or bigger are Alex Honey, Josh Shelmire and Tre Johnson.

Re: Going smaller
Well Dykes did stress that WR is the biggest position of concern for the staff. I would think we are a good looking option to a grad transfer WR - only like 7-8 on the roster, 1 incoming TF, and most donΓÇÖt have a ton of previous production other than Proche. Plus they can expect a strong passing game with DykesΓÇÖs air raid influence.

Judah Bell 6'3, 200
WIll be interesting to see how Bell & Shelmire pan out. Small school guys, against weak competition, with big high school stats.

Re: Going smaller
Didn't Morris or someone on his staff hype Bell as potentially the next Courtland Sutton? We can only hope.

Good point. Hope Bell develops into a stud ... quickly.

Apparently Sonny not impressed with the awesome Morris recruiting.

We need numbers more than a judgement.

Or maybe we just lost two underclassmen to the NFL. Either one.

I'm interested to see what Tyler Page does in his second year. Sometimes trashes a full year after knee injuries like his to get fully up to speed.

Bring in 3 GT's because 2 guys graduate. Has nothing to do with the other 13 receivers on the roster. Gotcha.

Re: Going smaller
We only have like 7 scholie WRs on the roster right now. Need the GTs at minimum to get numbers.

Right. A recruiting and retention problem, not a graduation problem. That first class was bad, with Castille leaving, Thomas busting & leaving, and Honey an apparent miss.
I guess it's a coincidence, but Proche and Gailliard were June recruits, still productive and contributing. The 3 misses above were all Morris guys.
