Hard to argue about Hicks. But was he worse than the O line? Is missing Powell hurting more than we would have thought?

I can't believe we let Gillens transfer out in favor of Hicks! The bad part is that he's a junior so we have to deal with it for 2 more years.

I find it extremely hard to disagree with your opinion, but then I have never thought he was adequate at the QB position.

Question: If Ben was so "great" why didn't Chadski beg him to transfer to Hogville? Answer: He wasn't.

If Hicks had gone to Hogtown, he would have had to sit a year, after which he would be a senior — not the foundation for the building that Morris needs to do up there.

If we have Fine , and NTSU has Hicks , we win the game !

You mean the guy that couldn't even win the starting job at UTSA? That Gillens?

Hicks has his faults but he is good enough to win games for us. The major problem last night is that our OL gave him no time to throw the ball and we had no running game to set up the pass.

He did make some terrible throws, including the pick 6, but this game wasn't all on him.

And what about all the other positions? I think it is now abundantly clear that Morris wasn't nearly the recruiter that some tried to make him out to be.

I strongly disagree. Hicks was awful we all know that and agree on that. But SMU got killed in every single aspect. Not just QB.

Hicks had no time to throw, O-line got nothing going in the running game, defense couldn't get off the field on third down. Yesterday was not solely on Hicks. Fine's receivers were constantly open with lots of separation. Can you recall a single time you said "Wow, Proche/Roberson/Sanders was open there, why didn't Hicks find him?" It was an all around disaster.

And to announce that we should bench Hicks this quickly is ludacris. He was awesome last season and deserves every chance this season.

And to all of you who are already calling for SD's job, that's about as irrational as it gets. 1 game. Please.

If there is a stat for most pick sixes, Hicks could own that long before he graduates SMU.

We have to admit that. Who is better? I don’t even know the backups name!!!

We are headed for a one win season. Doesn't really matter who the qb is.
