Good for GG. Fantastic guy.
Can't wait to see him take the Froggy's job.

Can easily knock off that useless TCU red head.

As great as Gilbert was in his time here, it's interesting comparing his stats to Buechelle.
Through 17 games on the Hilltop, Shane has completed 6% more of his passes than GG, already has 8 more touchdowns (with 10 fewer interceptions), and he's averaging 50.7 more yards per game.

I think GG had better receivers, but a lesser OLine.

To be fair to GG, he didn't even have a coach. He just had a few old guys on the sideline who put 25% effort into a game plan.
It would be amazing to see what GG could do under Sonny Dykes.

His OL had two NFL players on it. I disagree, that OL was fantastic.
The Redhead and Gilbert are kind of polar opposites, aren't they?
Dalton is about decision making and accuracy.
Gilbert has the measurables and the cannon, but not as accurate, and not a quick decision maker.

If Gilbert starts, I may actually watch an NFL game this year. Maybe.

Is there anyway we can get a "Born and Raised" with GG in his Cowboys uniform out of this?

Even though he's from Austin, it's a cool idea. Have him wearing half of an SMU uniform and half of a Cowboys one.

I'm guessing this will be the first time a former S.M.U. quarterback has started for the Dallas Cowboys since Dandy Don Meredith

Don't worry, he will be identified as a former longhorn who played in the national championship game as a freshman and happen to go to uh some small good.
