Lashlee updates injuries

SMU football head coach Rhett Lashlee updated Mustang injuries during his weekly media session:
RB Jaylan Knighton: out for the year
LB Kobe Wilson: cleared to practice/play
RB L.J. Johnson: day-to-day
S Isaiah Nwokobia: missed practice Tuesday
C Jakai Clark: cleared to practice/play
If there is a silver lining in the knee injuries suffered by Knighton and fellow RB Camar Wheaton, it is that neither tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ΓÇö Knighton had surgery to repair his medial collateral ligament (MCL), and Wheaton had surgery to repair his meniscus. Each is a senior, but both have a redshirt year available, and should be cleared for spring practice.
