Mustangs 16th in US LBM Coaches Poll

DALLAS (SMU) ΓÇô SMU football opened the year 16th in the US LBM Preseason Coaches Poll on Monday.

The Mustangs' 16th ranking is the highest they have been in the preseason poll since 1985.

SMU received 555 points in the first poll of the season, marking the sixth straight season the team has received votes in the preseason poll.

Polls are mostly educated guesswork at this time of year, and no, I haven't studied what many other teams added and lost from last year. But how cool would it be if we can get into the top 10!

Prediction: Beat Baylor, TCWho, and we will be 6 - 0 #10 going to Clemson.

Youve got to admit when TCU and Baylor aren't even on the list, and SMU slots ahead of Texas Tech and Texas A&M, SMU has picked up a lot of respect very quickly.
