Kansas State friend just texted me that "Our year is done..."

Oof Stanford is bad.

Watched the end of that game. Stanford isn't gonna be much better this year. Just didn't have the players. Not sure the coaching staff has developed a comprehensive understanding of the game as well.

Was disappointed watching these two tope 25 teams. It stings a bit that the polls thought we are just one spot ahead of KState. They didn't 't look like a top 25 taem and neither did ISU. Then again, it was a very away game with other distractions. Might not be a fair assessment. But neither team looked as strong as us..

If first games were predictive of the rest of the season, we would have gone 5-7 last year.

I witness this team during a non tackle scrimmage over a week ago at the Former Players BBQ. We are better than either of the ISU or the KSU teams.

Lots of missed blocks in ISU/KSU. Bet you could clear out a safety...You still got eligibility?

Neither Iowa State or K State looked that strong. I think that is what the future looks like for some of these programs - you can get some quality linemen, but high level skill position players are going to be a bit out of reach. Great coaching staffs and great recruiters, so they are going to find enough quality players to be okay, but they aren't at a top 25 level right now.

Stanford just can't play enough to hold on to all of their players and they have a ton of restrictions for transfers. They are going to end up being perennially young. They are trying to start with making investments, but school rules need to change in order for them to hit the transfer market. They might be in their Pye stage, unfortunately.
