Well playing a nobody and playing them poorly didn't help as we dropped to #17. FSU was unranked and now #14. Clemson remains in the top 10. Miami move up to #5. Of Course TU and Blessed Holy ND stayed in the top 10.

We definitely need to beat Baylor this coming weekend if we have any hope of respect from the AP.

I'm surprised we didn't drop more -- luckily no one outside of SMU/ETAMU fandom watched the game.

This just suggests that even after going undefeated in the ACC regular season last year and making it to the playoff, voters still don't respect SMU.
Yes, Clemson and Notre Dame are top programs, and yes, Florida State shocked everyone by hammering Bama, but there is no way we should have fallen after a 29-point win, even over East Texas A&M.

It is less about our game and more about FSU and So. Carolina playing well against good competition and ND and Clemson losing a close game.

FSU and So. Carolina play well against good competition and ND and Clemson lost close games. And, Alabama and Texas benefited from Pre-Season poll positions as perhaps we did.
