Seth Davis Getting On My NervesFirst he tweets last week about a "disappointing" season for SMU and SMU "in turmoil," doesn't even have SMU as one of the "in waiting" group in his Top 25 (but Tulsa, which lost to Oral Roberts and Souteast Oklahoma or somesuch, is in that group), and now this article on Larry Brown and the NCAA allegations.
http://www.si.com/college-basketball/2015/01/26/hoop-thoughts-larry-brown-smu-ncaa Also, can someone please explain to me how, if SMU admitted Keith without the benefit of the changed grade, the changed by a high school teacher could affect Keith's eligibility (which this story is the issue with the NCAA allegations)? Was SMU admitting someone that it knew would be ineligible if things stayed the same?
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My Nerves"Short handed Mustangs"
Yeah OK haven't really noticed-our opponents will be relieved "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My NervesWas wondering when someone would post this.
This is the most dark cloud thing I've read about the investigation and our season.
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My Nerves
Seth and I were the same year at Duke and I knew him and he is a putz. Both his top 25/15 and this article are just a Duke guy hoping that all the bad things he's ever thought or heard about Larry Brown are true.
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My NervesThe list of who is on our nerves keep growing. Ah the path of Peruna is not easy grasshopper.
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My NervesHe clearly doesn't know [deleted] about our team this year
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My NervesWho here actually read the DISD report? I did.
It stated that after Maligi called to inquire about KF's grades, KF's grade was changed and the transcript was faxed to SMU. Upon receiving the fax, Maligi called Kimball High School again to verify the grades as they were not in line with his understanding of Keith's academics. The questionable grade was changed back to what it should have been. Keith had to take a summer school class in order to become eligible. Anyone who actually reads the report can get those facts. But the part about KF's grades being changed back are conveniently forgotten by the Brett Shipp types Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My Nerves
So why is he ineligible now? Not enough hours passed in the Fall? Pony Up!
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My NervesI am not familiar with this commentator.
I suppose he had something to say about UNC. If so, what was the reaction on their board?
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My NervesI guess every reporter is going to get on your nerves... it's all getting reported whether we like it or not.
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My Nerves
He's a Duke guy. Makes sense. Again, everyone I ever met from Duke was an absolute jack [deleted]. And, since I've never met Dukie, my track record is intact.
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My Nerves
Correct
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My Nerves
Don't read the Duke Basketball Report blurb commenting on the Frazier suspension after it hit ESPN etc. (Or if you want to be annoyed, *do* read it.) It's exactly the same as Seth's article. Anyway, see you around Austin!
Re: Seth Davis Getting On My NervesWhen was the last time Sports Illustrated was relevant? The eighties??
