June left this program in worse shape than when he got here and that is really a major accomplishment considering the changes to our academic admissions policies and courses added for athletes. The 2014 team was the most overmatched SMU team I have ever seen. We were literally outmuscled and out-athleted at every position in every game minus one. It was staggering. That falls on June.
Back off Warchild seriously.

So you're telling me that just anyone could have just shown up in 2008 and taken us to four bowl games in six years? Interesting argument.

What's the record vs teams with winning records? How does that stack against June's 6-348756 ?

The teams with winning records stat is nearly close to meaningless. For comparison's sake, find a few other mid majors with a similar record as ours over the JJ era and compare. You may be very surprised.

Anyone who believes we weren't the worst program in the nation last season needs their head checked.
Anyone who cherry picks the first few years of JJ to justify not being the worst program in the nation is in denial.
We are what we are - a program that bottomed out in horrific ways last season.
We now have someone here who can fix that, but it's going to take a lot of work and some time.
I'm glad CM apparently made everyone in positions of power at SMU get on board so there's nothing holding him back.

I didn't call it progress. I called it meaningless.

Look, hate if you want to hate. Just don't pretend you're being remotely rational about it.

So find teams with similar stats and you'll see that they are similarly as bad. Cool. We were the worst of the bunch.

Telling statements.

“I coached high school ball in this state for 18 years and sent many a kid to SMU. I know this state like the back of my hand. When I sent a kid from my high school to SMU and he comes back and tells me, ‘Coach, we’ve got better stuff here than we do at SMU,’ that’s a problem.

“I also shared with them that I grew up coming to games and watching SMU play teams in this area, one in particular [TCU] just 20 minutes up the road. Here’s the problem: Not only are they 20 minutes up the road from SMU, they’re 20 years up the road from you, too. Or more.”

“We’ve got some issues we’ve got to address, and we’ve got to start right now,” Morris said

The DMN writes a story, a really positive story, about HCCM, and even that gets twisted into rehashing who can hate JJ more. Absolutely amazing.

It started with someone believing that only one coach could have beat so many sub .500 teams over the last 6 years. And that said coach left because it was best for the program.

Yes. Only one coach could have descended from the heavens to turn a program around. That man.....

was Tony Banderas. He wasn't available in 2008.
