Is that the end of Chad?

Postby Texasscout96 » Sat Nov 25, 2017 4:14 pm

Do we have to start over now?

If we lose him to the SEC, do we get a decent coach or do we have to deal with an inept coordinator like Malone?

Thoughts??

If he is gone we will be set up for a solid hire. All the factors are there, and the cup isn’t bare like JJ left it.

I’m wondering if Manny Diaz would be a possibility.

If this were a big school, Chad would be fired for barely beating Tulane and turning in a 7-5 season.

But we're talking about him getting hired by a big school. Weird.

I don't see it happening, especially with our defense.

There’s no way in hell hes gone. Anyone who will give an offer isn’t going to be good. The good ones have other options from our conference. He didn’t beat anyone worth mentioning. He barely beat Tulane(!!!) and almost blew it. He almost blew it at home with Tulsa. We choked against UCF and Navy. Had he won those then this is up for debate. No alum base will accept this. Think about it JJ beat TCU (only good thing he ever did) and got denied horribly by ASU (average P5).

Can you guys give it a break for a couple of hours-it was a great victory-PERIOD. You don't understand Football if you don't realize that. Give it rest

Lol do you actually he’s gone? Where? What AD would take that gamble? It’s a joke to think he’s gone.

It was a solid win today. We had 11 students there in the student section (I counted how many did that SMU scoot dance thing), so with that kind of support, 3 years after being last in FBS, I’d say Chad is a boss of a coach.

That said, don’t know if P5 fan bases will see it that way and would assume he doesn’t get any big offers. I think he would be a perfect fit at Texas Tech assuming that Kliff gets fired and he wins 8+ games next year.

No Highland Park in Lubbock from what i gather. Ole miss would be a good job and I didn’t think he would be judge for Clemson. That is something that could be in consideration. The time at SMU, not so much. I just don’t see how Ole miss could pass on Memphis and USF.
