Those are the things that are critical as we grow our reputation and Dallas fan base.

When we get to the point where the roster is stacked so much that we are going to run the table in conference and need challenge non-conference, then I want two P5 games non-conference.

Until then, especially in 2021 when we are bringing in a new QB, either replace TCU or let it go.

Sorry to be the realist. I know we want big names non conference but winning is more important until we get to *that* level.

Didn’t TCU get to “that” level by beating USC?

TCU got to *that* level of dominating the MWC, and then quickly upped the ante in their non-conference schedule.

TCU beat USC in the Sun Bowl under Francione. That got Francione a better job. TCU then promoted Patterson to HC. They improved each season by improving their talent level each season. They went from the WAC to the C-USA to the MWC and finally to the Big XII by improving their talent each year through good recruiting. They dominated each conference. I often wondered why SMU didn't do the same. We had a great model right in the metroplex.

By the way, TCU couldn't draw flies when they started. Their attendance got better as their talent level got better and they had better opponents.

They joined the Big East but before they played their first BE game, the Big XII made them a better offer, so they decommitted from the Big East.
