Will Wade? He's won everywhere he's been, and Boulevard will take care of the deals.

Re: VIDEO: Sonny Dykes, James Proché after SMU tops Tulsa

Doing GameDay, IΓÇÖve been to my share of postgame pressers ... one player was available? How can that be? ThereΓÇÖs always the head coach, plus two or three players from both the offense and defense, plus an open locker room 15 minutes after the final gun, per NCAA ΓÇ£cooling offΓÇ¥ rules. YouΓÇÖre ...

Re: Cal Fires Sonny Dykes

Starting next season, Cal will require that 80 percent of its recruits have a 3.0 grade-point average.

Agreed: Chip's not going to Bezerkeley.

DT Commit?

Someone who should know told me after the win yesterday that Spencer Hollie committed on his official visit from California.

The recruiting services say defensive end, but if Hollie is a legit 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, I see him moving inside to tackle.

Can anyone confirm?

Re: **Thad Video - In Progress**

Marketing's everything, and as you all know, I didn't just sign up after we went back to a bowl game; but if PonyFans are being asked to donate to this, I expect Thad to be doing the same with his time and resources. Or is he making a profit?

Re: BIG NEWS!

As everyone figured out, based on a quick internet search for 6-foot-8 defensive ends who have or have had some level of interest in SMU, it's Paul Crawford of Hebron High School in Lewisville (Texas, for those of us who aren't around the Hilltop anymore).

Looks like he originally committed to ...

Re: Commitment Number 11

Pony - I think the kid you're referring to is Jarrett Spencer. He's out of Rockwell. My boss' son has camped with him, and he's real athletic, with a frame that can easily bulk up. They say he's been talking SMU, and if that report is accurate, good for us. Jarrett's legit.

I think SMU is better off not in the Big 12, quite frankly. If I'm a Baylor guy, I'd rather have a chance in C-USA or the MWC than looking up at Texas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska every year.

I agree, Alex.

Metcalf's got a name that means something in the state, and he's young enough that kids can look to him as guy who knows what it takes to get to the NFL. Which is what every kid who plays college football wants, regardless of whether it's realistic or not.

Nueweasal was like Tommy Lasorda last year, ranting and raving and waving his arms in the air; great way to absolve yourself of blame.

Carson Palmer didn't get it until the second half of his senior year (his second with Chow), so I wouldn't expect Kevin Craft to do any better. Especially, as ...

Metcalf?

As most of you know, I like to spend my free time - and as much of the time that I'm on the clock as possible - outside The Ford watching coeds jog around campus.

So imagine my surprise when a guy who looked like Eric Metcalf walked past me into the football offices last week. I don't know who it ...
