Commitment Number 11
Scout is reporting a 6'4" DE is on board. BUS, they didn't give his weight so calm down until we hear. Any word out there ?
Re: Commitment Number 11
235 Pounds and a 4.8 40 time...under the radar kid so far.
Hey these are 16 year old kids so they don't have the weight on ......yet!
I read that 2010 signee OL Ben Gottschalk from California who was only 250 earlier this year is now 280 and moving on up in weight...and strength. The coaches can evaluate the young ones well so far....they have the propensity to add weight and strength is what they look for obviously.

Pony - I think the kid you're referring to is Jarrett Spencer. He's out of Rockwell. My boss' son has camped with him, and he's real athletic, with a frame that can easily bulk up. They say he's been talking SMU, and if that report is accurate, good for us. Jarrett's legit.

That might be old news. I was told he's into the 290-295 range, and still pretty lean.

Jarrett sounds like he has a pretty good frame.
Anyone actually seen him play?

That would be great but that weight was what Ben mentioned recently in an interview....can't find where I read it. He will get to 290, but not yet. He just arrived in Dallas this past weekend BTW.

I think Jarrett Spencer (Rockwall) is playing on TXA21 tonight at 7:30PM.
Re: Commitment Number 11
Watched this game and followed J. Spencer. He played R-DE in a 3-4. He has the size, 6'4'', and he definately looks the part - though he will need to bulk up if he stays at DE. Didn't seem like he had the speed to move to OLB in a 3-4. The production wasn't there though. I saw him in on only a couple of tackles, no sacks, and no QB pressures.
The opposing QB T. Boykin is a TCU recruit and he was incredible as a duel threat QB. He is an elite athlete and looked like he was playing against middle schoolers. Awesome with the ball in his hands.
