It would be one of my happiest days on SMU's campus if the fans got into a brawl over a football game. That would imply that 1) There were fans 2) They actually cared enough to fight over the product on the field.

Edit: Fixed the "I" confusion.

Have you forgotten the Tech game, it was 2003 or ...

Does anyone know what happened to the Bush investigation, and I say that with a question. When the agent comes out and says I gave him/his family money before graduation, it seems all denials go down the toilet. Yet I have never seen any kind of sanction.

Or bring back a Heisman trophy winner to sue. I hear Jason White lead a class action suit against the NCAA for capping living expenses for student athletes, long and short of it, it costs alot more to live in Dallas, LA, New York than Lubbock or Stillwater, yet the NCAA caps the expense allowance ...

kind of reminds me of another skinny kid who I saw walk on campus the first day and headed to the football field. My son commented that he was a new kid brought in to play defensive end. I hope this one has as much success as Justin Rogers has had.

It is interesting that the "positive reinforcement" issue continues to come up. I have spoken to far too many players under Bennett, that were far too worried to screw up and make a mistake instead of making a play. Bennett was one of the most intimidating people I have ever met and it obviously ...

He and the university were cleared.
He just took it out for a test drive......for several months.

From a different point of view, most of this would be curtailed if they went after the ones causing the infractions. Both Bomar and Quinn have appealled and are playing, they knew exactly what they were doing everytime they cashed a check, yet OU gets stuck with several years of penalties. If they ...

Another impressive financial fundraising success for Coach Graham. This seems to suggest its a done deal and will be completed by 2008.

I wouldn't give Graham all the credit this was in the works before he showed up, like everything, winning can make alot of things happen. Unfortunately, the basic ...

Picture this, an SMU coed is harrased and pestered by an SMU football player for the last 6 months. She finally has her fill and and hauls off and hits him with her Prada purse. The football player gets his mouth cut and a black eye.

It wouldn't matter if he was black white red or green, gay ...

Forget the playbook just do what I did when I was an inexperienced QB. We just hudled up, drew the play on the guys stomach who was facing away from the other team. We beat the team from the other neighborhood 5 out of 6 times.

Staff firings

I heard through the grapevine that the entire compliance and marketing staff was fired last week by Orsini. Assuming that is true do you think this is a precursor to a total house cleaning top to bottom?

How about another Zac, Zac Simmonds a deep snapper, he flew under the radar a couple of years ago. Considering our special teams at the time, when he was snapping to Mentzel our blocked punts dropped from 5, 6, or 7 a season to one or none. He was put on scholarship as well.
