Re: 2nd half........students?!?
Students and fans are too busy kissing [deleted] on the blvd and getting drunk to even think about walking a tiny little 5 minute walk over to the Ford. I've been the majority of games in my limited two year span here as an undergrad, and I can't remember the last time I persuaded someone to go to ...

28-25 SMU, Hunt blocks the game tying attempt by TCU in the waning seconds of the game.

Nice to hear they're not taking any breaks! Sounds like they really want it, which means heads are going to be turning come fall..

West Coast teams would be ideal because of the our recruiting patterns out there. Smu-Stanford anybody?

Re: TORLAN PITTMAN: Happy homecoming
Get out of here Roach. This front seven is going to be one of the best in Conference USA. Pitt not only adds depth to our already veteren-heavy dline, but he gives us a playmaker who can really fill up some holes in the opposing offensive line. Look for him to be wanting to make an impact first game ...

Re: Future OOC football schedule
Ya i agree with S..M..U here. North Texas is an okay ooc game at best, but SMU needs to start playing more big 12 teams and maybe even some bigger named independents. I would love to see a revival of the Notre Dame- SMU matchup or maybe even a away-away-home game between with Arkansas. With those ...

Re: TAYLOR REED: On the prowl
This is a phenomenal story! This is exactly how you get the brand of SMU Football back, start covering the big people in the program; WE NEED A FACE!

Winning starts in the weight room. This team is going to be fun to watch come next fall. Don't be surprised by a double digit win season.

I mean Kyle did injure his ankle in the ECU pretty well, so that could be a testimony to his "slowness." Nonetheless, he's still got a good-enough arm, and decision making abilities that can take us where we need to be. We all need to trust him seeing how he is our QB 1 right now. J.J is going to be ...

Re: 2012 NCAA/CUSA Bowl Schedule
Ya I doubt Illinois or Northwestern persay would bring more than 25k. We could get probably 10k if we played in dallas. That's not including outside parties which might take up 5k. Ticket City Bowl is a borderline disaster from an attendance standpoint

Re: What's your plan for BCS inclusion?
Of course successful athletics provides, in itself, notoriety thus turning the heads of the big conferences but the marketing is the missing puzzle piece. Merchandise is the key to household namehood. When people see the likes of Texas Tech, Texas, and A&M on the cool hats in the lids stores around ...

Re: How Long Until We Pass UT in National Rankings?
An increase in interest of the school is positively related to the increase of exclusivity in the major programs SMU is most-known for. Those being: Cox, Dedman, and Meadows. True getting best teachers money can buy is good and, on paper, looks like it should work out, but the question at hand isn't ...

Re: Season Tix Count
I understand that the majority of the Dallas-FW area doesn't pay attention to Conference blowSA, but if we hyped up the 2010 championship rematch with UCF this year, attendance could top 25,000 for sure! Just a little marketing from the business school is all it takes.

Re: 2012 NCAA/CUSA Bowl Schedule
Glad to see CUSA getting some bowl recognition for the improvement in competition over the past couple years. SMU at the Cotton Bowl seems like a stretch when they could pick U of H or ECU or someone who has a better conference history than the 'stangs.
