Re: UNC
No one should be surprised when this ends up being a very light slap on the wrist! Especially with the men's bball team! I 100% expect no postseason bans at all! The NCAA will not do that to a potential Final Four team with a coach who with all of his ties to the NCAA cheated for years at Kansas and ...

Re: Jonathan Williams III Visit
I completely understand why he would choose Gonzaga over Smu. It is great to be in the running with these other top schools but is anyone else getting frustrated that we can't seem to really close the deal on any of these opportunities lately. Yes we got Tolbert and Semi but as far as recruiting and ...

Re: AAC basketball next year
If we return Nic & MK return and there are no crazy surprises (mudiay, frazier, ncaa)
We are either #1 or #2. The incoming guards who can actually handle the ball along with Tolbert make it a no brainer.
As good as we were this year we were playing with one legitimate shooter and ball handler.

Re: Other AAC games
Memphis win could end up being HUGE for us. If Uconn ends up on the other side of the bracket for AAC tourney we can avoid the host team playing on their home floor (always dangerous) until the champ game if they even get there.

Re: Starting lineup
We really do start every game feeding Ben Moore the ball and he proceeds to miss 2-3 shots in the first two minutes. I don't really think it matters. We rarely score in the first 2 mins because of this very weird strategy that I have yet to figure out.

Did we just wake a sleeping giant?
Ok...so if I'm going to be honest with myself I thought we would probably split the road trip and will take care of Tulsa on Sunday. But, I am very concerned that Uconn has now positioned themselves on our side of the bracket for the conference Tourney on their home floor. I was really hoping that ...

Not the same old ponies
I think these next few games are going to be serious indicators about this teams future. Your typical pony teams in the past would drop both games on the road and then probably win the final one at home and then have to hope Tulsa loses one of the games before they play us in the finale.

Danger Time
It's really unfortunate that after an 8 game winning streak and such a hot start in conference we are now in this situation BUT... If we can't pull it out against Tulsa which let's be honest is a 50/50 proposition at best we could be staring a 3 game losing streak right in the eye. I don't think UH ...

Re: 2015 Bracketology Thread
I couldn't agree more. Just keep winning and moving up the rankings. After last year all that matters is that on Selection Sunday, our name is called. We just need to keep winning. I'm a little concerned about our last 10 games. If we are typical Smu it would look like a 6-4 or 5-5 finish with a ...

Forget about the Hypocrites known as the NCAA! Forget about Mudiay! Forget about Martin! Forget about Maligi! Unfortunately right now forget about Frazier!

Re: This win felt different
The biggest problem I have is that opponents are making almost as many 3's as we are shooting and these lower scoring games that can make the difference in the game. For example last night Temple made 8 3's and we shot 10 and made 2. That's a difference of 18 pts and I'm not saying that I want us ...

Re: This win felt different
A big Road Win for us tonight. We absolutely had to have it and it's a good start to begin building a guaranteed spot in the tournament...But if we don't start defending the 3 point line we will have a major problem not just in conference play but in the Big Dance.
I mean these 3's we are giving up ...

Re: DMN: Martin leaving SMU to go pro
This really sounds more like a situation that Justin is not happy. If you watched the game the other night you could tell. He was tearing it up in practice then got hurt early and was never the same. He finally got himself relatively healthy and Brown just simply would not play him.
