Ok...so if I'm going to be honest with myself I thought we would probably split the road trip and will take care of Tulsa on Sunday. But, I am very concerned that Uconn has now positioned themselves on our side of the bracket for the conference Tourney on their home floor. I was really hoping that we could avoid playing them until the finals.
Do I think they are that good of a team? No I don't but as we saw today they are capable of beating us and any team with the home court advantage that has to win in the postseason tourney does just that.
I hope I am wrong and admit there is some serious pessimism on my end but this has a very Tough sat game in Hartford written all over it.
If this is a different year, we can handle it and take out everyone in front of us on the way to a reg season and conference title.
But what I think could be a more likely scenario is a reg season conference title and a disappointing semifinal loss in the conference tourney leading to a NCAA birth but a seeding that could have been much better.
Only time will tell!

We will beat them if we play them again. They got every lucky bounce on the iron today. Won't happen again.

I think UConn has very good potential. I don't think I would discount their talent, just like I wouldn't discount Tulsa. The big inside, Hamilton, Boat, and Purvis are good players.
SMU, Tulsa, UConn, Cincy, and Temple all play good enough defense and have enough good players to beat anyone in the country (bar the 1 seeds) on a given day.
I would take any of those teams over K State, OSU, or Texas from the big 12.
The biggest difference between UConn this year and UConn last year is that they don't get to the line as much and don't shoot the three as well. The defense is still there. If they start clicking from 3 like they did today, they will give teams a lot of problems.

Our conference plays tough D. You wouldn't want to play any of the top 5. Only 4 max getting in - and i would still bet on 3.

How far have we come guys...
"We finally got a signature win under our belt," Boatright said. "It gives guys the confidence that we can compete with these teams."

I was hoping for a paragraph .. Then I got sleepy and drifted off into a sad sleep
