We are now 0-7. SMU job is not as attractive as the powers that be thought it would and throwing money is not working.

We are going to get a 2nd tier coach and this is very frustrating. 1-7 were good names. Now were are targeting older, recycled names and assistant coaches.

We are on our 7th candidate now if you include the LB State coach. We could have pulled the trigger with Bruce Webber.

My real frustration is not with the speed. Its with the process, the approach and the fact we have a former Georgia Tech AD who is a non basketball guy (and hired Paul Hewitt) to run the search that is closed off at the top.

Love President Turner and all he is doing for SMU. Would like, however, to see him get the several minds around him more involved in the search process.

Years 1-6: Has done a lot for SMU. All the accomplishments have been mentioned.

Years 6-10: This is when this job gets even more challenging. Getting into a BCS game, going to the NCAA tournament, being a fixture in the Top 25...Getting our President and school to balance out academics/money/sports ...
