Toledo's a tough draw

Nevada lost in Toledo earlier this year and snuck by them on a last second tip-in at home last year. Triplett is their stud, he's an NBA caliber 2 guard.

Hopefully you guys can knock them off.

That's a pretty accurate report.

teams tried to zone Nevada early in the year because the guards can't shoot. But Fazekas and Pinkney absolutely destroy zones with their hi-lo play and offensive rebounding.

Best bet is to do what Hawaii did and make it as difficult as possible to get the ball ...

Re: Is UTEP the best team in the WAC

UTEP was the only team to get votes in the top 25 poll but are they the best team?

Also, did Kirk Snyder come back to Nevada?

Personally, I think UTEP and Rice are a cut above everybody else while LaTech, Nevada, SMU, Boise, and Hawaii are all pretty equal and could finish in any order for ...

Illinois is looking for a Dallas game

Sounds like they've probably already contacted every Dallas school but this would have been a nice home game for you guys. It would have been fun to see the Hopkins vs Dee Brown matchup.
Here's an excerpt from a scheduling article on www.sportsline.com:

Get this: Illinois is a possible ...

I'll correct you

SMU beat Nevada one out of the 3 times you played them. You probably forgot about Nevada knocking SMU out of the WAC tourney for the 3rd consecutive year. ;)

Good luck to the Mustangs next year. Hopkins, Milsap, and Harris have to be the early leaders for Pre-Season WAC player of the year.

yeah it is now in overtime #5. The defensive intensity has been amazing and the free throw shooting is really coming back to haunt both teams!

Jim Harrick was impressed

Thought you might want to see what Jim Harrick had to say.

"He was so productive ... 30 points, 12 shots," said Nevada associate head coach Mark Fox, who was sitting next to former Georgia and UCLA coach Jim Harrick, now a Denver Nuggets scout. "Coach Harrick told me that’s one of the top five ...

Re: Nevada

Sounds like SMU played a great game with a great gameplan. Congratulations on the win and good luck the rest of the way. Hopefully this win gives the mustangs some momentum heading into the WAC tourney.

Kind of tough for Snyder to get up for NBA scouts now. Every game he plays in now there's 15 ...

hey geephunk
What are your thoughts of Snyder? do you think he has a shot in the league? when his head is in the game he's going to be tough for any WAC team to stop.

Re: Went to the game.....got pissed off!

LOL...Fazekas' running style is certainly unique. He's going to be a good one though.

Okeson is as scrappy as they come. I think most Nevada fans were shocked by his 2 monster dunks.

Re: Wol Pack

It's a D-II school. And Albertson's is an NAIA school. Nevada got tired of scheduling these all-star teams that don't run any offenses and don't play any defense so their exhibition games this year were against an NAIA school and a D-II school.

The Pack is 8-4. Albertson's and Humboldt were both exhibition games.

Re: Nevada game

Altitude in Reno is about 5500 feet. Didn't seem to affect LaTech last night who played their best bball in the 2nd half.

Re: Eric Castro

Castro killed the Pack in Reno last year. I remember being scared to death of Hopkins and Ross but it was Castro that was most impressive that night.
