Re: Gameday

The grave is dug and someoneΓÇÖs crawling into it. Either Jank takes the bullet or might as well start shoveling dirt on the program.

Re: Kaden Archie

I think the long and short of it is that you don't get to use scholarships as an excuse when you burned your last two on seat fillers. "Boy, we sure would be a better team this year if we had four seat fillers instead of two," said no one.

Re: SMU vs. Tulane game thread

If we lose this, does Jankovich survive the evening? Never mind that he should be ashamed that weΓÇÖre even struggling at home against a team that hasnΓÇÖt won since November.

Re: JF is back!

We look like an entirely different team with Foster on the court. We start playing better defense, moving the ball, etc. Much more enjoyable to watch. Foster is obviously good but why does it seem like we weren't trying before his return?

Re: Goodbye To Shake: Thank You!

Mixed legacy on this kid. Appreciate the highs, but not sure you get lower than shutting it down on your team when cleared. Funny how Metu got slammed for missing the NIT to protect his draft status, but Shake gets kudos from our fans for giving up on his teammates.

I wish him well, cause we need ...

Re: Memphis pursuing Penny as coach, LB as asst.

We were a bubble team at full strength. Losing Chargois to illness at Tulane cost us that game and then Jarrey going down made us an NIT team immediately (and yes I know we beat Wichita at Wichita). Losing both Jarrey and Shake (and BenE at half strength and Akoy a shadow of himself) make us about ...

Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games

I wonder if Jank just got used to a really shallow rotation last year and now it has become a habit. This year he is still riding the starters hard, even when he didn't have to. The freshman showed enough that I was expecting at least Landrum and Douglas to be getting a solid 10-15 minutes each per ...

Re: Lunardi - Last Four Out

We definitely still have a shot. Anyone saying we should call it a season already is far off the mark. Anyone calling our players "cowards" should grow up -- garbage talk from a garbage person.

That said, the last couple games have revealed some concerning things. Nothing insurmountable, but we ...

It's a quality we need in general, but he's got to harness that scorer's mentality rather than get carried away like that.

Gu was called for carry. Call was questionable.

Think you have that backwards. Shake was called for the under-over in open court, Gu for trapping against his hip.

Re: Thoughts on TCU loss

disappointing, giving up 94 points against a cross town rival that you now have to recruit against. Tcu made us play there game instead of us making them play ours. We cannot win when we have to play in a shootout, I also don't like how we are 1-3 away from moody, the 2 losses against UNI and TCU ...

Re: VIDEO: Jankovich, Whitt, Landrum after SMU drills UTRGV

Man I love listening to Jank.

Ditto. Gives thoughtful answers and doesn't resort to coach speak. Very focused on the process, not outcome.

It's funny to hear what the players focus on in their interviews (not just Whitt and Landrum here); you can definitely tell what Jankovich emphasizes because ...

That is insane they would treat you that way based on your history.

I am going to enjoy this year to its fullest because I assume I will be out one way or another when they reseat in 2018 anyway.

Re: CROWD MAKES ME PUKE --- DO WE HAVE ANY STUDENTS?

Its really simple

1) 30 plus years of being one of the worst college football programs in the nation
2) Zero conference championships since the mid 80's
3) Zero weeks in the Top 25 since the mid 80's
4) Zero first round draft picks since the mid 80's
5) Total annihilation when we play former ...
