Dixon worked them last night, that's for sure. They were calling everything. The Shake "carry" with 3 min left when we were going on a run was the most ridiculous call of the night.

Had the roles been reversed in Moody and Gu got tackled, I don't think the crowd would have stopped booing until Dixon got a T. At TCU, it was boo for 10 seconds after your star got form tackled and then back to the funeral like atmosphere like nothing happened.

Not saying he didn't carry...but at some times you swallow your whistle at important times of the game. Nobody was guarding him, it was a harmless situation walking up the court. You see that call maybe once every 5 games. It's like holding in football...you can really call it whenever you want because it's always happening. Oh well, is what it is

Home cooking happens all the time, even for us.

There is no such thing as a good ref. Deciding to make critical calls @ the end of the game for things that have been going on all game is ridiculous, but it happens every game @ all ages, all levels.

I'm not saying being a ref is easy, just be consistent. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen, & most refs are on some type of ego trip anyway. The game is NOT ABOUT THEM!!! Its about the players.

One of my favorite ref situations was when Billy Tubbs, while @ OU, went to the scorers table after fans starting throwing objects on the court after a series of bad calls, & told the crowd,
"Regardless of how terrible the officiating is, please don't throw things onto the floor", immediately drawing a T. Priceless.

He lost control of the ball and pinned it on his hip while moving down the lane. I am not an official but I do not think you can do that.

It wasn't questionable-pinning the ball like that is like picking up your dribble to the refs.

Please read my posts. Shake pinned the ball on his hip. Called for carry. Call was correct.
Gu was called for carry. Call was questionable.

Think you have that backwards. Shake was called for the under-over in open court, Gu for trapping against his hip.

It was definitely Gu who pinned the ball. Though I wondered if it got poked by TCU into being pinned.

And I could see the Shake carry on TV in real time it was so obvious. That one really burned me because it was one of several simple things on offense that we did poorly in the span of a few minutes when we could have gotten back into the game.
