I would root for all teams in the conference over cincy. Their fans and school suck.

No reason to get nasty; some of us Mustangs attended UC as well.

Re: ATTN: People who run band

For all those who want to remove the band and go all DJ: for the life of me I do not understand why one would want to remove one of the key elements that gives college basketball its unique flavor.

I've been to many, many NBA games and never once did the house DJ really effect the energy. If it was ...

This debate is a lot like debating whether syphilis is preferable to chlamydia.

That's an ender.

Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spot

Waco is at least an hour and a half from civilization, and it isn't colder than Canada.

Oh come on now; Columbus is a city of 800,000 in a metro area of 1.3 million; one doesn't need to drive anywhere to find 'civilization.' It is also less than two hours drive from two other large metro areas ...

Re: I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spot

TCU and Baylor do not stand a chance although its very likely head to head either of them would crush those SLOW LUGS from the bowels of this country.

I am no fan of anything to do with Ohio State, but I think the number of (pretty fast) OSU players in the NFL should give one pause in labeling ...

I welcome thoughts on the (final) CFP spot

Though I have been a member of this site for a long time, I rarely post (and have never started a thread prior to today), preferring to absorb the opinions and information of the regular posters here. That said I am deeply bothered by what may happen with the playoff selection and felt like venting ...

Re: Someone else thinks SMU should be in the Big 12

opps we beat Arkansas 4 times -92 and 96 in Arkansas-then 97 in Shreveport 31-6 and also in the Cotton Bowl in 95

The game in 1995 was my first year at the school and was my initial taste of SMU athletes. It was quite an introduction: being from Michigan, and barely of double digit age when the ...

Re: The new ESPN College Football Proffessional Minor League

I am a tcu fan but putting that aside for the moment, I don't see any P5 schools being booted. Especially not schools like vandy and northwestern with their conference history.

I'd like to think conference history means something, but in an era that includes the Big Ten adding Rutgers and WV in a ...

Re: USA Today: Meadows #1 Music College in the US

While UNT probably has a broader range of quality offerings in music, SMU is almost certainly a better place for orchestral training. Primarily because SMU offers something UNT doesn't: almost all of the principals of the Dallas Symphony teach at SMU. UNT has many fine teachers of orchestral ...

Re: We need Baylor to lose tonight!

We ought to have a poll taken on the top 5 hated schools. It would be interesting to see the percentages among SMU fans

Not being from Texas, and having lived there only while at SMU, my list is probably a bit different than most:

1) Michigan State
2) Ohio State
3) TCU
4) A&M
5) Notre Dame ...

Re: Some Good

Despite the outcome; I had a tremendous time yesterday: it was great to see how the gameday feel has evolved - this being the first game I have been able to attend in years (it is a long way from Dayton to Dallas). I enjoyed seeing all the new buildings on campus since my last trip to SMU (in 2006 ...

the Taj Mahal of College Football Stadiums.

Nice, yes. "Taj Mahal..." no way. You haven't been to too many other college football stadiums, have you?

Let's go ahead and call it the "Taj Mahal of College Football Stadiums;" perhaps it will become a mausoleum for TCU football success.
