Re: Rick Hart Resigns
Hart is arrogance personified. He was very fortunate to have David Miller driving all critical decisions and leading the program to the next level. Thank you Mr. Miller.

Hilarious comment Burgermeister. Hmmm…let me think why our AD hasn’t been poached by a larger school. Could it be that his reputation in the AD community is that of a clown? Please someone make him an offer and take him away. Thank goodness for solid fundraising by RGT and David Miller.

Re: SMU announces home-and-home games with Missouri State
The football program needs a smart donor with a great business mind to stop Hart from making bonehead moves like this. Does David Miller only direct the basketball program and not football?

Re: Finebaum Burns Mustangs at Event
We were fortunate to have deep pocket donors that allowed us to buy into a conference upgrade. It is the reality of this situation and the new world of college sports. Admittedly, Memphis has had more recent success both on the hardwoods and football fields.

Thank you David Miller and President Turner for making this move rather than accepting mediocrity.

Re: Thoughts on the BC game
Unfortunately our poor performance versus a mid level, mediocre team proved the decision to put SMU in a sub tier bowl game was the right selection. Thank goodness it aired in the morning and viewership was probably small. As fans, we have to do better to use weather as an excuse for getting ...

No way. Not even close. The strength of schedule is so much weaker.

Re: Sonny Dykes
The truth is many coaches go to their conference rivals and bring recruits with them. ItΓÇÖs common practice. Get over it. Although this year was a disaster for him and TCU, I bet we all would be ecstatic to play for a National Championship. Like used car salesman Chad did, Dykes will walk away with ...

If we would have beaten bowl ineligible TCU, we would all be booking flights to AZ. In hindsight, it was a horrible loss.

Re: ACC watching SMU
Although itΓÇÖs a recruitment ploy to discredit the ACC, SunnyΓÇÖs not wrong. Everything is ΓÇ£temporaryΓÇ¥ and will always be a shifting and moving target with all the conference realignments. The Big 12 and ACC will look completely different in 3-5 years.

Re: No more badmouthing for Turner and Hart
Hart had little say or impact with this process and decision. In fact, ADs are mere pawns and have no choice but to be reactive as the conferences dictate the rules based on markets, payouts, tv deals, etc. Turner probably had veto power. Rightfully and respectfully, David Miller and other large ...
Re: What Now?
Have university ADs become basically reactive pawns when ΓÇ£searchingΓÇ¥ for a new conference affiliation? I assume they cannot be proactive since the media companies are the decision makers since they are bringing the deals to the table and have all of the power. Is this correct?

Re: Rob Lanier doomsday clock
Nice guy…horrible hire. He’s way over his head. However, let’s see how he does in the transfer portal and give him another full year with his team in a diluted AAC. Jank benefited from the portal greatly which resulted in a respectable team. It doesn’t really matter since his buyout makes it ...
