Not so sure about the Offense, but the Defense has got to be the best.

Personally I do not think we are in the same universe of 1982 versus now. That was arguably the best team in college football for a few years. I think we have the opportunity to get there again but for now the comparison is just not there.

Not better than that ΓÇÿ82 team, not even close, maybe not even better than ΓÇÿ86. But the best since then, and definitely the deepest. When is the last time we were wearing out opponents with our depth?

So difficult to evaluate. I don't understand the metrics involved to compare the 80s to now.

I'm a big fan of our defense this year. I wish our offense had mature more especially in certain position

That said, I can't be sure this team is better than the 1984 team.

I'm not convinced its better than than the 1980, 1981, 1983 teams. But is is so hard to compare the environment and rules in the 80s compared to now.

I do know, beyond a doubt, this is the best team since the DP and it isn't even close. And it is lightyears ahead of Ron Meyer's teams in 1976, and 1977.
