Re: Season Ticket Record
I don't think it is a secret as I think I saw the 1,200 number from SMU. Also, you can go to the season ticket site and see each of the individual seats (which clearly shows there aren't many). By my count, there are 10 new suits.

Re: Season Ticket Record
Is the expanded capacity of Ford some kind of school secret? I can't seem to locate that info anywhere. I remember it being reported years ago that the 32k could be expanded to 45K, so is that still correct, or did the number change based on the complex design?

Re: SMU announces 2024 schedule
I read, going forward, SMU will play Cal the final weekend of every season. As such, we will host a game every other year the Saturday after Thanksgiving (which if fair), and it will always be versus Cal. I like it as that also eliminates the possibility of hosting Clemson/Florida St./Miami that ...

Re: Fenway Bowl vs. Boston College
We won our conference, ended the regular season as a Top 25 team, get to go for our 12th win AFTER key visitation weekends commence with potential transfers, and get a preview of a conference mate that we will face at home next year. All in all, it could be a lot worse and I'm still smiling from ...

Re: Future ACC schedules
We should play Pitt in Cotton Bowl in December.
I get what you're saying, but the game I'm curious about is F$U at SMU. F$U will want that game moved to JerryWorld. I really hope we don't move it.
It makes zero sense to move a conference game. BUT, maybe Notre Dame at the Cotton Bowl during the ...

Re: Future Schedules
I think Miami, Florida State, and Clemson want to recruit Texas! They each come to Ford 2X while we travel there 1X each over the next 7 years. I also think we will see a home and home with Notre Dame when that portion is released. Fun times coming on the Boulevard.

Re: Boulevard Tailgate Location Map
Here are all of this year's locations. The main BLVD goes from #1 and back down to #114 I understand next year there will be additional spots once the new business school is finished with its construction.
Re: Bad Luck?
This looks nothing, nothing, nothing like the PAC12. IF any team departs the ACC, there will be a more than significant exit fee to leave. These fees alone will enable the ACC to backfill and remain competitive with the B12. The ACC teams are in the most populous areas of the country and it would ...

Re: Next stadium project? SHADE, PLEASE!
If our first game is at night, and yes thatΓÇÖs way more likely in the ACC, itΓÇÖs manageable. The conference games will have beautiful weather! I imagine Calford + SMU will be slotted for the later games (and Calford might be our ΓÇ£rivalryΓÇ¥ games too). A great time to be a Pony.

Re: PAC12 Scenario = Expansion
East- what is real is that Co. execs are meeting today. Who knows what the topics will be. I agree that the TV suits will be calling the shots but not sure how that will turn out for the PAC12. IMO they are not valuing the PAC very high. Perhaps a short term (3-4 yrs) agreement would work for all ...

Re: PAC12 Scenario = Expansion
Here is a good podcast from Billy Embody (On the Pony Express) that talks about this week's Pac12 meetings, expansion, etc. I think he represents the state of affairs quite accurately. I would recommend you subscribe to his Youtube channel as well as it has lots of great information on player ...

Re: 5 year Division 1 Attendance study
I imagine our attendance challenge in the Pac might revolve around us being the only team in the Central time zone. We will probably have A LOT of 11am kick-offs.

Re: Independent Schedule
Independent is a horrible idea for lots of reasons. We also have non-rev sports that need a home. If we go undefeated and win AAC championship, we have a spot in the expanded college football playoffs. SMU should always be in the top 5-6 G5 teams; and, if our recent haul from recruiting is ...
