Tulane is not a crappy team-they physically manhandled SMU last year. They have comparable or better talent than SMU. They played an entire season on the road under the most stressful and conditions that were not conducive to competing much less winning-what did you expect them to do last year ...

Anthony Scelfo is 3rd string QB and he played against LSU last night and looked very good. He had Tulane's only TD and drove Tulane down to the LSU 9 before throwing an INT in the endzone. He was 2-4 for 27 yards and had 6 carries for 41 yards.

Ok, just pointing out that Tulane has more than just emotion. We moved the ball at will against what is actually a pretty good Mississippi State defense and despite the score we had more yards against LSU than any other team they played this year.

Thanks, I understand that but, it looked more like "survive the first quarter emotion and Tulane will play like cr@p the rest of the game".

As with all games when a home team is riding an emotional high, SMU needs to not get caught up in the emotion and allow itself to play into the home team's hands. Survive the first quarter, and Tulane will play like Tulane

Just curious what that means?

He originally hurt his shoulder in our win over Mississippi State and its Ricard.

In 2001 Tulane gave up around 41 points per game and gave up 70 points to BYU, 51 to ECU, 48 to LSU and 59 to Southern Miss. We couldn't stop anyone.

In 2002 Tulane gave up 20 points per game, led the nation in takeaways.

If it makes you feel any better (I know it won't) we do have the #1 total defense in the nation.

You guys could give us some credit. Almost every publication had Tulane contending for the C-USA West title and winning 7-9 games. We're a good team that returned 10 starters on defense and 7-8 on offense from a 5-6 team.

Is the game available on streaming radio online?

Tulane's radio broadcast is usually online but not know after Katrina. Is there a way to listen to the SMU broadcast online?

One thing that'll be interesting is how Chris Scelfo (Tulane's coach) approaches this game. Against Miss State he pulled out all the stops, almost playing like he had nothing to lose, not like it was season opener. Tulane was successful on 2 fake punts and unsuccessful on an onside kick. The first ...

fw--i saw about a fourth of the tulane game last saturday. tulane offense looks a lot like the smu offense with everybody spread out along the line of scrimmage, lots of receivers and similar passing scheme. in fact, this looks to me like a very even game and your coach is probly right when he says ...
