How could Marshall throw 60 passes and not get called a single time for "holding"?

There were actually a couple calls by the refs that were questionable.

I never heard of the refs throwing a flag for a false start on the offense, then allowing the play continue, and then letting the defense decide to denie or accept the penalty? I always thought that the play was stopped and ...

By what I have read on the HERD boards, it was actually a Marshall fan that was whistling. The poster from HerdFans.com stated the he heard the whistle and turned around to see a Marshall guy with his hands actually doing the whislting without the use of an external device, just his mouth.
