I heard from good source, that his shoulder was hurting him bad for most of the year. Seems to have kept him leary of getting too much contact, however looked as if he was feeling better toward the end of the season. Let's hope for full recovery for the startup of next season.

Spoke to Eric earlier last week. He didn't say that his decision was completly about football. It seems that there may be other issues that he is taking into consideration. Eric is a very polite young man, and I wished him good luck with his college experience, wherever that may be.
