Video from Jerry LeVias Day

Pretty sweet day at City Hall in Houston yesterday.
Rufus Cormier was there, and a few other SMU folks honoring LeVias.
He's a Texans Ambassador now, and here's the video from it.

Anybody have the Don Meredith video...

that they played at the game on Saturday?
Haven't seen it on youtube or at the school's website.
Think someone can get that online somewhere?

Up front defensively, Tech will be markedly better because of the Sesay, Dixon and Perry additions, combined with the maturation of Brandon Williams, Rajon Henley and Colby Whitlock.

As for their receiving corps, Eric Morris caught 9 TD last season and that's more than anyone else in the Big 12 ...

I know that.
He'll play at Guacamole Tech or wherever in 08, but then he can transfer anywhere in 2009.
And that's when he'd look good with a Pony on his helmet.

A New Defensive hire...

UTEP defensive coordinator Tim Hundley is headed to SMU to be a defensive assistant, according to several sources. Coach Mike Price and UTEP sports information director Jeff Darby declined to comment, and SMU hasn't yet announced the hire, but according to sources close to both the UTEP and SMU ...

Sorry, I was wrong.
You're right.
The 6 starters we have returning on defense are awesome.
Our defense is as good as the 1985 Chicago Bears.

Stallion's spot on.
For the life of me, I still can't understand why Vegas had us as only 9 point dogs, when we had TEN NEW STARTERS on defense!!!
Even if we had everyone returning from last year, they're not slowing down that Tech O.
The offense may be okay with Willis, but the D will hold SMU ...

Don't know what Johnson's plans are. If he were a Pony, that would be awesome, but I have no idea.

I do know that Leach doesn't sign off on transfers within the Big 12 or the state of Texas, and that Foy Munlin's been pretty much the only exception.

Bennett and Leach actually get along really ...

The lineman transferring is right tackle Andrew Johnson.
He's behind Rylan Reed (who last week benched a school record 565 lbs) on the depth chart, so he's leaving.
Ofa Mohetau is in all likelihood done with football. Just doesn't like it, which is a shame, because he had the ability and size to ...

The last two road games Texas Tech played where they had to stare into the sun, on a hot afternoon, were A&M and TCU in 2006.
A win and a loss, but games that could've gone either way, nonetheless.
Barring an anomaly weather-wise, it'll be a broiler come Labor Day, Tech will have to stare into the ...

Won't happen unless Harrell breaks a leg or something.
That being said, Potts is the real deal. He was impressive all spring, he's a big kid, and really smart.
But Leach just says that crap to try and stoke a little competition.
We'd be blessed to have a Potts on the Ponies.
