Condolenses to SMU'ers everywhere from the Mean Green Nation.

Mr. Hunt was a great man that anyone in the Metroplex, Texas and beyond would admire once they saw what he was all about as a man.

Granted, he was born into the famous Texas oil rich family of Harold Lafayette Hunt which is ...

Re: Grass is too high?

I can't believe the grass could get to that height. There must be tons of people around Ford Field that could get that done. Just get it done on a Saturday. Or, at least, one would think there would be tons of people just sitting around in that area on a Saturday. They'd be the people you include ...

TURN ON THE LIGHTS, THE PARTIES JUST BEGINNING?

Well, I will be bringing at least 7 with me. My wife is finishing a second degree at UNT and I have talked her friend from school and husband into going. Further, I have a younger cousin that goes there as well so I will have her come with her parents and my parents are going to the game as well ...

Re: How does UNT get away with this...?

In the grand scheme of things, I suppose this is a trivial matter. But I'm curious about something I recently noticed while passing through Denton.

I drove by the UNT stadium on I-35 and saw signs advertising alcoholic beverages on the stadium and around it.

Now...maybe I'm mistaken...but isn't ...

I think I may have posted this 4,000 plus posts ago, but Kincaids's Grocery has award winning hamburgers

This old fashioned grocery store off Camp Bowie in west Fort Worth only serves as an eatery now, but you can see remnants inside this place of business of an era long past as an old time ...

With all due respect, I was reviewing your fine site last night; particularly the thread on Dave Campbell's Texas Football-Post after post of people picking up their copy at various Wal-Marts. Do you guys ever mix in a Barnes & Noble or a Book Stop?

No discussions of what else was purchased, but I ...

Re: Southern Mustang Needs More Red/Blue Votes @ GoMeanGreen.com

Southern Mustang is a regular poster at GoMeanGreen.com; in fact, he has developed quite a following with his posts over there.

I know this won't be the cool thing to do for a few of you, but for others it really won't matter because------it's just a poll, folks.

Check out the poll at www ...

Oh, come on, jstang, that's yesterday's news.

I was told by an SMU alum how Prez' Turner really did not have that much say on this whole thing (as might be the case for any new school entering a new conference). He said Tulane was really the instigator, so I am now having a doll of the Tulane U ...

Uhh, so SMU is going to be a "teacher's college" now?!?!?
That's pretty funny, but I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again. Maybe you should put as much time into figuring our how to get back at Gerald Turner for being the sole cause of UNT's continued penance in the squalor ...

Uhh, so SMU is going to be a "teacher's college" now?!?!? You'll be happy with this new school of education program, but expect most of its majors to be, uh...................................COMMUTERS!

Sorry, couldn't resist! :P

Hot days ahead--stay cool. 8)

This post has gone straight to hell...where people debate Toto vs. Steely Dan. Can I bring Captain and Taneel into this discussion?
Remember when the Captain played with the Beach Boys? Highlight of his career. And don't badmouth the Beach Boys, none of ya.

Yeah, and my music sources told me ...

While Toto may have had its success in 1982, it pales in comparison to the 25 years of success by the greatest jazz/rock band of all time, IMO. I'm sure your friends at the One O'Clock Lab Band would agree. In fact, Phil Woods (saxophonist) - who guest lectured at UNT on Feb. 21 - played on Steely ...
