Re: Questions from a Hawaii fan

If you asked me, June Jones is more of a program wrecker that fixer upper, like he claims to be. He left both Hawaii and SMU much worst then what he started with. Hawaii is still trying to recover from his departure.

I don't see how anyone can say that Jones left Hawaii much worse than when he ...

Re: VIDEO: Jeff Reinebold

At Hawaii, JJ preferred not to rotate his WRs. His reasoning was that WRs in the RnS work as a group. As far as fatigue, he claimed his WRs were in better shape than opposing DBs because they run so much in practice. I don't know if many fans in Hawaii bought that. Also, you don't have the ...

Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western Division

Well as it stands now we're going home with the chick with a weird face who's probably about to put on a lot of weight and looks bad naked. And she's poor.

The other chick has been giving us the eye and laughing at our jokes and we've maybe even taken a shot together- she's a little pudgy but shes ...

Re: For those that wanted to see the RnS at SMU

JJ's "optimal" team at Hawaii was probably 2006, even though it lost a few games. His stated philosophy was for the defense to quickly get the ball back for the offense -- and that's by either forcing a punt, getting a turnover or or giving up a score. JJ said as long as his offense gets one more ...

Re: PonyFans.com Scouting Report (TCU) with John Hampton

A loss is no big deal because you can still win the conference and go to a bowl game. I win will be a big deal in the national spotlight. I don't know what people would prefer -- lose to TCU and win the CUSA, or beat TCU and not win the CUSA?

Anyway -- good luck. This Hawaii fan hopes you thrash ...

Re: Colt Brennan talked about JJ's offense

Nate Ilaoa would have had a 1,000 yards in 2006 in a rotating backfield if Jones didn't pull him for parts of a few games for fumbling. That was also the year of Hawaii's most prolific offense. Don't let JJ's rhetoric fool you -- he knows the value of the running game. When the running game gets ...

The debate over whether to tackle in practice was always a hot one with the fans. I think the consensus was that you need to practice real tackling a lot, and know that injuries are a part of the game. The reason - UH's best tackling/hitting years (though not statistical) were under Glanville, who ...
