This K-State backer wishes he could have seen the show up here in SWKansas.
Bennett was a true fan favorite. He stepped in and gave the program some added character and stability when he replaced the defecting group that went to OU. The tragic events with his wife (the first day players in camp ...

Re: Neuheisel
RN's record of recruiting infractions is well known (and probably only scratches the surface). For some coaches, there is pride in following the rules to develop a program. For RN, things came to fast and easy (he didn't put in the years as an assistant most HC's do), and as a result he felt he ...
Re: Neuheisel
Take it from a K-State fan who had to put up with Whine-heisel for several years at CU - he is not only a self-righteous cheater (and a whiner), but he is also a lousy football coach.
CU tanked under his leadership. He won with his predecessor's players, and the kids he recruited, all everything ...

Re: Burger wars, re-visited
MM1965, Will do as soon as I get to the area. I don't know if I will make it next summer, but I should next summer (My internship at the National Archives removes most of my life this time out). It would be nice to see SMU and KSU schedule one another. A lot of 'Cat alums in the Metroplex probably ...

Re: Burger wars, re-visited
WooHoo!
I'm glad to see such enthusiasm already. I will be looking for a job with the National Archives system next year (I intern this summer) and the Dallas area will be my second choice of locations for a job. If I end up in the region (or visit), I'll make sure I save any work the group does ...

Re: Burger wars, re-visited
This Kansas State fan hasn't looked at this thread since about Christmas. I felt a need to revisit the Burger Wars and am thankful for the insight offered by all.

Re: Could SMU lose Bennett?
Last I knew, many A&M fans I converse with aren't Bennett fans. He was there when they were coming off probation and were short of talented bodies on D. As a result he had a passive D, which was out of character for him.

Re: Kudos to K-State fans
I've heard on other BBSes from some KSU fans that were there. They, like many hold Bennett in high regard and only wish the best for SMU under his guidance. Many believe or hope that Bennett comes back to KSU when Snyder retires, and at current I'd have to consider him in the top 2 or 3 candidates ...

More Details on BCA from KSU's Assoc. A.D.
Here's a link in regard to the game. It notes that it is not official, but does give some details on the delay and what network will broadcast the game (and also, what tickets should cost).

Re: SMU SID OFFICE WILL NOT CONFIRM GAME!
You are correct, it is not a done deal. The parties apparently agreed in principle last night and things must be signed and a game time found. ESPN could still balk, but then it is likely that Fox will pick it up and air it.
