Yes, the students and alumni of SMU can be pretty weak in support, but like Law School pointed out, SMU itself does a pretty poor job. What little they did while I was at SMU sounds as if it is all gone.

SMU also has to do a lot better job of reaching out to all its alumni, regardless of ...

Worley's name doesn't interest me. Montgomery, while ideal I don't know, could bring solid experience. If he could do and bring what the ram's club brings to unc toward SMU, I would be happy. Question is that would he leave a sweet gig in chapel hill for the big D?

I proabably agree with most that our class isn't going to knock people over, but what I do appreciate is that almost all of the kids coaches have praise for the WORK ETHICS of the kids (and our coaches).

When I read the piece on Jerry Moore, that was something he cared about, a lot. I think there ...

don't know about that headline, but I get worked up that duke has a player listed from the D/FW area. Yes, it is an acc team, but duke football?? I know SMU isn't on top, but duke football?? I hope that Wesley Oglesby was never an SMU target.

I'm with you SMUguy. When I met Jerry my freshman year, I was struck by how thick he was. He was a good guy, and one SOLID player. It will be great to have some of the former players more involved.

MFFL02, who cares. Just glad it was on. I watched for a while with my son, who when he saw the floor shouted "Go Ponies!" He floowed that up with "the Go Ponies beat the tarheels." Sure it was soccer, but he says that all the time. Around my parts, that comment turns heads. And makes me smile every ...

that is correct RGV and gostangs. ecu may not be looking good on the record, but the team is not without some talent. ecu also plays at home tough, so it was a good win. they took it top memphis, and to wake @ wake earlier this month and beat a decent unc wilmington team.

what, you mean an east coast game that starts at 5 central could get into raleigh paper, but not dallas? That certainly is impossible. Good thing papers are not usually published around midnight.

actuall, payola was everywhere since, oh, the 1930s. that's another issue.

i became a fan during the days of dandy Don. I din't think of going to SMU, but was aware of the school. That all changed during the '79 - '82 era. Off to the big D i went from the LA area.

Good win for the team. It should help their attitude to go in and get the win. ecu isn't a great team by any means, but visiting teams do have a tough time there.

I love it as all the ecu folks that work around me are pretty quiet today. Thay felt they were gonna win. ecu had a pretty good crowd ...

Alright Hix, good to hear the family will fly the SMU colors. As far as memphis saying they are too good to be in CUSA, isn't this the team that barely got out of greenville, nc with a win? PLEASE. memphis st. are not the kings they would like to believe they are.

Hey OC, do we have to wait that long to hoist some Belvedere?? What great stuff.

Kudos to you for working in Jeremy Adams into a thread. He and his wife were great. Wonderful professors at SMU.

yes, he went to SMU before going to work for his dad.

He's quite a character, and been pretty good with the Colts and Indy since the team moved.
