Re: From ACC
Here's the deal, SMU knows better than any school the cost of being kicked out of the club. Maintaining some semblance of D1 sports remains important to the school to be considered with applicants interested in great colleges like Stanford, Northwestern, ND, USC, Vanderbilt, Duke, Wake Forest among ...

Re: Looking Forward to the Tulane Game
I went two years ago year with my son. Great gym. They were passing out "Beat SMU" towels to everyone who attended. It was a sign that SMU had made it! I still have one in my office. This will be a tough game, but we need to show we're a solid road team as we march towards the NCAA tournament.

Re: Chargois Hypothetical
Chargois is improving every game. He has such confidence on the three. Very unusual for such a big guy. His defense last night was very solid albeit against weaker competition. I like that he is now trying to post up occasionally and explode to the hoop. I agree with everything said that if he can ...

Re: Whitt
Whitt is a great addition. Great athlete and he fills the stat sheet - very hardworking at both ends. A better version of the freak athlete Ryan Manuel. The shot is crazy, but he's so quick and has such great explosion/long arms, all he should focus on are shots 15 feet and in. I look forward to ...

Re: Feron Hunt
Love the DeSoto pipeline. We need to focus basketball and football recruiting there. They consistently produce the some of the best athletes in both sports in the DFW area. We need to get the students to attend some hoops games in SMU gear this season to support our future stars. I plan to attend ...

Absolute warriors. Love those guys. Will really miss them, but we have some unfinished business before they leave. They are the foundations of this amazing program which has risen from the ashes and we will always be indebted to them.

Re: Enjoy the journey
Totally agree with your assessment. As an SMU fan who has learned to expect the worst, as much as I love this team and appreciate what they've accomplished so far, we have some serious work to do to finish the journey. Except for ECU at home and Tulane at home, all of our other games present some ...

Re: Jalen Lynch
Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting he would be in the rotation or would be some kind of savior, but he'd be a competent big body, with some skill and good experience to have on the bench for games when Ben and Semi get into foul trouble or if there was an injury. We're back to last season when ...

Jalen Lynch
George Lynch's son Jalen is a freshman football player who is a very solid basketball player. He's listed at 6'3 300 lbs on the football website. The kid has soft hands and good post moves. As an emergency depth replacement, he could give them some fouls and inside defense and he knows his way ...

Re: OFFICIAL GAME 1 THREAD: Gardner Webb vs. SMU
Does anyone know tonight's starting lineup for the Mustangs? I'm going: Shake, Sterling, Ben M, Semi, and Jarrey. No PG, but everyone of these guys plays both ends, rebounds, can score, and most importantly, plays bigger than are. Very pumped for hoops to finally be here.

I just bought four tickets to the USC game. Lower level, $28 each. Looking forward to seeing the Mustangs beating another Pac-12 team on the road. If anyone is interested, you can buy tickets directly through the USC sports website.

Re: Jon Rothstein: CBB teams that could overachieve in 2016-
Decent write up. I really like that these guys are being underestimated this season, from Coach Jank to our pair of four year starter warriors, to our new recruits. I expect big things from this team. While we lose Nic, I expect our defense to be even better. My biggest concern is who will play ...

Re: New Preferred Walkon DT Jalen Lynch 6-3,300
Lynch is a physical monster and probably does weigh close to 300. Different body type than his dad,but a very impressive frame too. He is very quick and athletic and had some great moments on both the football field and basketball court while at St. Mark's. Because of his frame, if he stays on the ...

Re: SMU vs. UH was an advertisement for college basketball
I think Sterling has a shot at the NBA. He plays big; he plays great defense; he can do everything and doesn't need the ball to be effective. I think a few of our players have a shot too, but each will have to overcome some issue of perception: Nic is an absolutely terrific player, but his height ...
